RE: High Value RV Insurance

We have an 06 Dutch Star and received a quote from San Xavier Mexico Insurance the office staff could not give us a quote but we received a call back from the owner and he gave me the quote - it is quite expensive but I have not been able to find another company to quote. Let me know if you have any further luck with this.

RE: Hydralift motorcycle lift

We have a hydralift on our 06 Dutchstar and so far have been very pleased with it. It definitely gets a lot of attention at the rv parks. We had to purchase through a retailer even though they did not carry the product they were able to bring it in for us. My husband and a welder friend did the install themselves. We have a 2008 HD Road King Klassic on the lift. The bike stays pretty clean unless you are in a lot of rain or snow. We were going to purchase the little garage that goes with the lift but it was a little pricey at $2,000 so he is considering getting a custom cover made. Loading and unloading is very easy, tying the bike down takes the most time. Any other questions please let us know.

RE: Booking Celestino RV

Thanks to everyone for their great advise. We will be using the recommended crossing. Hopefully we will be bumping into many of you along the way, especially those going to Celestine RV. I am sure we will have more questions along the way.
Thanks again Patsy

Proof of Ownership - BC question

I will probably have lots of questions over the next months. I see that vehicle registration and proof of ownership are required at the border. Not sure what the difference is - in BC we have vehicle registration with the owners information. Will we need anything else?
Thanks Patsy

Booking Celestino RV

We are really excited as we have just booked Celestino RV for our first rving visit to Mexico. Now we have the insurance piece to work through and I will keep reading everything I can get my hands on. We will spend Nov in California so should we plan on crossing at Nogales or ??? Any info that anyone might want to share with us will be appreciated. Our plan is to travel the toll roads for this trip. As this is our first time we are both excited and a little nervous.
Thanks Patsy

What is too big for Mexico

I am really hoping to spend next winter in Mexico, not sure which coast however my husband is pretty nervous. Have been reading all the posts but am wondering if our 40 foot class A is too big to consider taking to Mexico. I would like the Playa Del Carmen area and he is considering the Mazatlan area. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
